Do you fancy a Gilera Runner ST200?
Then I could have that dilemma

i haven't ruled out the x10 gonna see ..
20 miles.
Yes, on both my 171cc SYM Joyride200 and my 263cc SYM GTS300i. None of them appear to use any oil, both have more power than you'd expect from the size and the engines have been 100% reliable on all trips. My regular commute is 65-70mph (GPS speed) for around 20 minutes.
I ran in on mineral oil, then switched to synthetic around 1500 km or so in. Now each has done over 10,000km and run on fully synth. My X10 will be run in the same way, I already have the spare oil filters, I'll change out the factory oil, take it for a 20 minute blast (after warming up!) and then dump the oil, new filter, new oil.
It specifies API SJ rating IIRC which is still within the oil I use for running in.
Oh and no sitting about idling (_very_ bad for the cams). It's 'startup and off' straight away.
I chose the M11 one deserted morning - getting there warms the engine up (just the right distance), then I can do full power acceleration, mild braking, then full power again (and repeat for 20 minutes) without bothering anyone else.
The Motoman way is a faff (more changes and you have to find the oil) but worth it for the benefits of a decent piston ring/cylinder seal.

If there is one person on this forum that deserves this quandary it's you Mister Phillips!
You're a top bloke and a top bloke deserves a top scoot! A scoot that's an improvement on your Nexus. A scoot that isn't a compromise. A scoot that'll leave you feeling excited to get back out on it when you've just switched it off. A scoot that you'll pine to ride. Any excuse. One that'll make you look out of the window to admire...
A Scoot that when you're sat in a high sided chair - incapable of wiping your own butt - you'll remember with a twinkle in your eye. A Scoot that when the Great Grandkids are dragged around to see the cranky old man, they'll spot the glint in your eye and chant in chorus, "Not the
TMAX story
again Great Grandpa Phillips..."

thank you all for your reply`s.. u make me laugh anonstarter

we are all bias to our favorite rides as we own them, we get used to them and there ways.. i took missus and kids to work this morning then after the all night rain had stopped took the cover off the Nexus, and i smiled as always, i will be sad to let her go, and not in a rush , so no pressure there. So the sym 600

well i do like it , but no dealer round me, if buying new i would need that convenience.. and back up, sorry.. but i havnt ruled out the 400cc GN2, cheers.. funky your bias

its a lot of money for a used tmax, i know the price is high new , so respective used models wont come cheap, but the only way to justify that amount is the quality, and whether it would be good value long term. With only need for diy servicing and tyres. i only do around 3 to 4 thousand miles a year on the scoot, so buying new would not be an issue, money wise for warranty servicing as it will only get two services, for warranty sake only. so thats why i was thinking j300.. i like the fact they told us about it, when it was coming, and it has arrived in droves, seamingly.. and dealer network to me is either croyden or vauxhall bridge i think.
Also buying used low mileage with a tad of warranty is not an issue as i like learning to do it myself, so research time on the laptop is needed and a coffee
