X10 oil leak

Dealer rectified the oil leak, turned out to be the oil pressure switch, which the dealer say,s only last 10 to 12 thousand mile. There was a customer in the shop who overhead and he said he had three switches fitted in 30th miles so would seem right.Should high mileage X10 owners carry a spare switch?

Useful to know. Maybe instead of an oil pressure switch you could use a plain bolt.
