Re: Feel for our London Muppets
The wind is building in Doncaster although it's been sunny most of the afternoon. Thankfully the Majesty is still upright and I only have a 4 mile urban ride home. So far this winter has been very kind to us in Donny. Fingers crossed...................

Makes a change from the usual seasonal weather headlines telling us how Londonshire has been brought to a standstill by a light dusting of snow.....

It passed Bournemouth late morning. It was so windy the cyclists were walking through the pedestrian area in the Square!
If you go near the beach, you can't move for photographers!

I wake up every morning with a smile upon my face,
My natural exuberance spills out all over the place!

Well you are bollocksed if you want to go north/south in the northwest.
M6 completely shut in 2 places, to get round = M62/60 and over Barton but that is shut so go all the way round Manchester on the 60, except shut in 2 places so over the Pennines on the 60 to the M1? No chance that is shut too.
Fuck it. What time is the train? Rail line advises all customers should abandon travel

Police closed our building off at about 2pm because the winds were knocking people over and pushing them along. Even in a mild breeze our London office creates a cyclone round itself.

Re: Feel for our London Muppets
Absolutely dreadful, poor darlings! Between the downed trees and flooding in so many lanes and byways, Dorset Police advised people NOT to travel this afternoon. They also promised to prosecute anyone getting stuck in a flood after having passed a "road closed" sign.MrGrumpy wrote:My God, it must have been SERIOUS then!Whatsisname wrote:It passed Bournemouth late morning.
