Eels are a wonderful thing ,I remember catching them and taking them home and top tailed and cleaned then straight in a pan of garlic butter hhhhhmmm bloody lovely . Unfortunately they are few and far between now with even norfolks only surviving eel man on tv saying he can no longer make a living . The cause is apparently the influx of persons from Europe over the past few years eating all the fish in our rivers .

I read that it's Eastern Europeans who are causing the problems, they can't understand the British attitude to coarse fishing, and so are swans and geese too if you believe some newspaper reports!

Well, believing most newspaper reports, especially on this subject, is a big mistake..........

Several fishing pools in Stoke on Trent have banned Eastern Europeans from fishing in there pools, because it is alleged they are taking all the fish they catch home , how long the ban will last I don't know , it is a bit racist

Well in Poland most of the time at the mo. But will maybe do w short notice one when I can. Dont expect a good route as well.
