Blimey Taipan - if you came out of Brands Hatch heading towards Rye Harbour and found some nice villages in Suffolk you really did get lost big time

If you passed my place Bluebottle i doubt i was in. Iam still doing 2-300mls a week up to now. Don't see many two wheelers out except when coming home, usually in the dark, and the one's i do see are probably commuters. As i have said before i love this time of year. :D

Hee hee Bluebottle how the bleedin hell did you get lost. Sounds like you hit the 'dyeworks' road eventually brings you out on to the A666 just above Darwen, its my regular route home in the lighter months, but mine also takes in the 'B' road which runs behind Winter Hill affectionately known as the Bob Smithys. I stick to the main routes in winter months

I know, I felt a right pillock but I enjoyed it.

I don't know it round here as well as you and Sylar (mainly because I didn't grow up here) but I know the roads you mean, I occasionally do Belmont/Rivington and over Haslingden Grane.
I reckon the scenery is plenty good enough for a group rideout
