Although debatable morally most people try on helmets at local stores (Hein Gericke, Infinity, J&S etc) so they know what size they are, you will be different size in different brands. Then explore online store offers (Ghostbikes seem good).
If you're lucky enough to have an HJC-shaped head also check out Box helmets, reputedly made in the same factory so same shape and similarly 4* or 5* SHARP rated and very good value. It is possible to get a good well-made helmet for under 100, not everyone needs to pay 500 for a Schuberth.
