All fixed super fast . Badly installed seal at the factory . One of those things . Liking it a lot , fast even running it in , like a bigger T Max , more leg room . more toys and ABS . Handles really well . I am back in the Groove and cannot fault BMW for Customer care and service .Very impressed with my dealer . And breath !!

I can set your mind at rest, the fork seal is definitely not part of the engine.
The engine is not the only bit of the TGS manufactured in Taiwan.

No wait a minute, you won't because they only claim to assemble it in Germany.
Where the parts are manufactured is really anyone's guess but if it was Germany (or EU) they would be shouting it from the rooftops.
But they're not and they're not.
Country of manufacture isn't the problem, its BMWs dishonesty which gets me.

If they claim to assemble it in Germany and they do how is that dishonest?? I don't actually ever recall seeing adverts from Honda saying come and buy our latest Vietnamese built scooter . Every manufacturer has always sourced parts from all over the world .. So why single out BMW .

Either way its now one sweet Scooter !!

The example you mention Honda are a global company and are open about where their products are manufactured.

BMW market their TGS as a premium European product and allude to a German provenance to justify the ridiculous purchase price.

BMW do not have any mention of Taiwan or Kymco on their website, nor do they state where the components are actually manufactured.
I find this dishonest.
