Just a quick update on my mk4...
With some nice dry warm roads, I've finally been able to explore the handling a bit. As you might imagine its very similar to the mk3, though my impression is that its a bit more settled in its road behaviour meaning that you have to 'ride' it a little more round corners, ie requires slightly more physical input than the last version. Then again, I seemed to be achieving some quite steep lean angles...by my standards at least. Or maybe since the winter has been so long, I've forgotten what leaning a bike feels like!
Had another fill up with fuel today - 58mpg, which I'm quite impressed with. So Yamaha maybe correct to say that they've improved fuel economy.
Still would have liked some extra outright grunt though. Although acceleration is better, there appears to be no more power at all at higher speeds. A strong headwind today was really having an effect! Screen was noisy as well with the headwind. Toying with one of these.....(shorter version)
