Re route from Hull Ian hasnt posted that yet but guessing he will do scenic route in Yorkshire as its his home county although now lives in Forest of Dean and scenic across to Moffat

Heres link for kinlochleven hotel/cabins/camp site campers/cabiners can use hotel for meals and bar its a lovely setting

Been looking at routes back to Dumbarton and Dumfries and we can make them as long or as short as weather allows take in some nice roads and scenery

just booked room for 7th Tlodge near Doncaster £13 LOL so doing the 2 days with them now also planned this route for moffat to kinlochleven subject to Ians approval and weather on the day 241 miles and ferry across the Cylde
Ians route for the 8th is roughly York Hadrians wall visitor centre Gretna green Moffat

I thought you could have been a little more imaginative with the route. They are not going to see a lot of the jock countryside. I know it it a tight time scale but you could do it for just as cheap.

Its not set in stone Ian may have other ideas but he asked me to do a route and thats what Ive done its all non motorway takes in Largs Oban which are nice towns .Ive done most of west coast part and bit around Inveraray looks nice its the old military road so an historic road.Germans will want a bit of sight seeing as well

No problem may be just the coffee stop in York to meet the group Ill let you know where Ians stopping maybe a scooter tour of York high lights

As i posted somewhere else, buggered if i can remember where.
Iam just doing the 8th of August (all the time i can get off work)..meet Ian and the group at Hull and ride a fair way north with the group,
Then i will head back home.
