Well that was fun. Four of us met at Wakefield. Clive plus the lovely' kind and understanding Judy, Steve on his Sym, as clean as ever, Liam on his T Max and me with the hopefully equally kind and understanding Barbara.
Roll on March 2013
Onwards to Squires via Steves route', more interesting than my plan to go up the A1 that's for sure.
After a modest luncheon and some good chat, then Paul arrived on his new X10. Its subjective I know but I think it is very sleek and modern.
Steve turned left to see his Mum, (we weren't invited as she doesn't like his rough friends). We turned right making our way by A roads to the M1 south of Barnsley where Paul and Liam turned South. Clive, Judy, Me and Barbara headed North.
Great little meeting with two new faces on our ride. Coldest one so far at an indicated 5 degrees at times. Just about long enough I felt.
Thanks to all that came.

What about a modification of the motto - Gentle consensual Sex, Prescription Drugs, and Home Made Sausage Rolls from Organic Farms using the latest techniques in humane farming.
Wordy - but perhaps more in keeping with this PC Age in which we live.

Thanks for the run out yesterday.
Cold on the way up the M1 and a bit of rain for 10 mins .
Good to meet up and a scenic ride and a visit to Squires, included!
It was my first time there and I was surprised how busy it was considering the cold day.
Even colder on the way back and a lot of hold ups south of Sheffield which required some
daredevil filtering! A bit dicey as it was getting dark.
I do need to sort out some muffs/heated grips or whatever.

Yeah, cracking little afternoon. Well done Steve & Gerard on the route, some interesting roads for sure. Great to meet the new guys and see the X10 in the flesh. Glad i had the heated grips fitted, My good lady needed her feet thawing out even in decent bike boots! Now, if she only had the heated seat, oh lets say in March next year......

Well it was great to meet up with folk.....my first time ride out to Squires and an interesting return home (beats A1 M1). Must try the recommended Orgasmic sausage roll with a few prescription indigestion tablets!! X10 never missed a beat as Liam and myself headed down M1 at speed! PS Not sure about you chaps - but the -hardened ex-scouser here, forgot to add his thermal layers to jacket and trousers...now sorted, and you guys complained of the cold! Burgman guys with their heated grips, hot seats...I don't know!
