I'm glad that this thread is now being discussed in the manner that it was intended in true Muppet fashion...

It was the dash plastics which I thought were particulary dubious. I really thought that their Gladius was a nice ,aching though I didn't look at that too closely!

The thing that really puts me off the Burgman 650 is my local Suzuki dealer, I wouldn't trust them to service a toaster let alone the 650.

I just remember when I had a Burgman 650 how I started to hanker after a TMax again, and how pleased I was when I swapped the Burger for a mk3 Tmax...

I felt the exact opposite. Ever since changing to a tmax, i've been hankering after the burgman... It just felt much more comfortable and more powerful too... Although the tmax has been bulletproof whereas the burgman died on me. But i guess not everything is down to reliability is it. Otherwise noone would have bought french cars/bikes :D

I've never had much trouble with French cars....unlike Italian ones! Never tried a French 2 wheeler though, unless the Yamaha Majesty (built by MBK in France) counts....though if it does, I never had any trouble with that either!

Actually, this confirms my theory that you are either a TMax person, or a Burgman person, and each one completely fails to 'get' the other scoot! When I leapt off the Burger onto the TMax, I thought, 'Wow, this goes well' and 'this is comfortable' !!!

That's an interesting concept. I certainly think that the new sport Beemer feels very similar to the TMAX. I wonder if the GT version of that feels more akin to the Big Burger
