Barry, this makes me think you may have a faulty clutch. It's maybe the pad pivot arms that are not performing correctly, maybe sticking on one or more arms and not swinging out easily as the revs rise.

I doubt it, as I cleaned it all out and was perfect for 600 miles. Also is perfect when warmed up after a few miles. I reckon its just that the old Burgman clutch issues havent been ironed out.
Ill probably book it in for warranty work.... I bet they just clean it out!

I wonder if you were brutal enough with the deglazing? You need to not just remove the shine, but leave fibres exposed and very rough. Got to get rid of the resin that bubbles up and forms a layer on and below the surface (you prolly know that anyway). It should lasts ages after that. It's the same when deglazing a car clutch disc, or brake shoes. I'm sure Suzi will sort it. Good luck.
