If you already have the cable then try this cheap 2000mah mini usb adapter. You need this higher rated one as apple and sat nav products draw more current. I use this 2amp rated plug for my TomTom Go 750 SatNav on my burgman.

Are you sure the Belkin charger is a 10W charger?
A lot of car chargers, and phones, only supply/need 5W. The iPhone 4s definitely needs 10W, which might cause the messages?

I got this one, and works fine with my 4s in my car: scooter docent have these fancy gizmos like electricity...
