So of course, after a brief stop at the Turlok library to use their Internet to arrange insurance cover....
I road it the 300+ miles home from Turlock, CA to Los Angeles over the next 24 hours, with a brief stop in a cheap motel in Bakersfield.

While not quite as easy as riding a bicycle, I had no trouble keeping up with the 75 MPH traffic on US Hwy 99. In fact, the bike wanted to creap up to the 80s!
My biggest problem was my throttle hand cramping....which simply called for frequent stops...like this rest area.

The next morning, US 99 turned into Interstate 5, and the notorious Grapevine Grade, a 6 mile, 6% climb into the mountains...
But the big Burgie took it all in stride, and the bike danced around the slow trucks and econo-boxes as we charged up the hill, with only speeding sports cars for company.
After we passed the grade and topped out over Tejon Pass, I stopped at Pyramid Lake to admire the view.

I anticipate more adventures on this fun scooter... And am already considering where I can take her out on the road.
