Screen for Forza 350

Having thought about it I think I will just stick with the standard screen. It seems pointless spending so much money on a replacement screen that isn't much bigger than the standard one. I might try a spoiler. Maybe two, one each side. I don't know yet.

Looking at the current price of the Givi, it's not much more than what I paid to get one from Italy in 2019. In fact at current prices the expensive item is the Wunderlich screen spoiler that I bought in 2015, and I’ve had 10 years use out of that.

From my own point of view the money was well spent, I can use the spoiler on my next maxi, put the OE screen back on the Forza when I trade it in, and put the Givi on eBay, on a Forza FB group or local Marketplace, and if it doesn't sell I'll bin it.

I consider both screen and spoiler money well spent when a couple of riders I know have wasted far more money on noisy aftermarket exhausts.

Excepting the obvious diversionary conversation, why do you think size matters?

I have the Givi. It moves the "quiet" spot with a fully raised screen from 45-50 mph to somewhere in the 60's.

The effect will vary with how tall you are of course. Also your helmet. I'm 5'7" and using an HJC I70 now with electric visor so fully closed when moving (this is another expensive but very very good innovation BTW).

When I sell the 350 at the end of next year/start of '27 I expect to recover 25-50 % of the outlay, so wouldn't consider the entire purchase price as cost.

My experience of bolt on deflectors varies. They fixed BMW's in the noughties. I lost one that gained it's freedom from a thin and wobbly Suzuki screen. Nothing short of a total redesign can make a CB500X anything except hopeless and goodness knows I threw money, plastic, time, heat guns and jigsaw blades at the POS.

Suggestion; if you really don't want to just buy the Givi, play with cardboard and tape first. If you get 5 minutes peace and quiet before it explodes you know you are on the right track.

My experience with deflectors has pretty well always been positive - they always seem to have helped a bit. How much varies of course, the worse the original screen the greater the improvement! I normally see a reduction in noise and less buffeting, though the snag with all this is that results are deeply personal. What may be great for one rider maybe awful for another.
On the ADV350 I have a screen from people called DC Parts. Its a bit taller and a bit wider than the original and seems to work very well. They do a 'Sports' screen for the Forza 350, but I've no idea how it compares to the original.

Ive been thinking about that DC parts screen for my ADV350. I have the taller Honda screen which is OK, but still narrow so that my arms catch all the weather. Would the DC parts one be an improvement?

The only snag with answering that question is that I immediately fitted the screen when I got the scoot so I hardly rode the scoot with the standard screen! I am very happy with the DC Parts screen - it seems quiet and pretty protective - I can ride with the visor up no problem. it is higher and significantly wider than the standard screen, especially the lower part. I bought the smoked version - not entirely sure that was the right choice as whilst it looks super cool, I always seem to be aware of this dark screen in front of me, even though its below my eye level.
