Belt and rollers

New to this forum although I bought my Burgman 400 9 months ago . Not seen another hereabouts in southwest Scotland yet so fishing for info . I am looking for a supplier of Dr pulley sliders and a quality belt as a precaution not knowing bikes history . Can't find a JT belt supplier that has stock and sliders seem even harder . Anyone have a pointer . Thanks meantime . John

Back again ,
I have bagged some new unused parts from e-bay and now have a new belt and some other bits and bobs . I have weighed a set of rollers which come in about 27 g , BNIB but would this be asking too much ? I will be riding solo 99% of the time . Thanks folks.

How variators affect acceleration and top speed can vary enormously between different manufacturers so only another Burgman rider can really tell you from their own experience how a particular weight or rollers behave. As a general rule lighter weights mean higher rpm during acceleration so if you tackle big inclines and want the best speed they will help. The special shape of Dr. Pulleys can give an overdrive effect because in some cases they make the closed pulleys tighter so the front pulley has a bigger effective diameter when cruising. This does not apply to all machines because it needs some tolerance to allow extra travel.
