Hi all ,
Due to pick up my xmax soon ,was looking at some accessories for it mainly the universal stay for my phone , do anyone have any thoughts on this? or alternatives? also im looking at getting some heated grips , im guessing these are a must have for the colder months , any suggestions? are they easy to install or should i get my garage to do it?
Thanks

Re: Yamaha X Max 125 Accessories
My phone and dash cam solution. Both fed from the outlet in the right hand glove box.
Never had heated grips on any off my bikes or scooters. A friend had Yamaha heated grips on his 125 X Max and soon replaced them with Oxfords.

Tucano Urbano Muffs are the nuts for the cold weather...
There are some cheaper imitation versions but go Tucano Urbano - worth the extra!
Wouldn't get heated grips...
They only keep the palm warm, not the back of ya hand...
The Tucano Urbano muffs also give another wind and water resistant layer...
Find I can use summer gloves through the Autumn, and in all but the coldest days of Winter.
Plus if the heated grips do ya battery... you cant bump start a scooter...

Re: Yamaha X Max 125 Accessories
dogfood09 the phone holder is an official Yamaha part. Bill Smith Motors and several other outlet stock them. Part No: 1SD-F83P0-00-00-XMAX25. Same unit fits 125,250 and 400 X Max. its fitted by removing the Yamaha logo ed panel in between the bars and uses the same mounting points. Did not think it was worth the £84 Yamaha were asking for it so managed to track one down on eBay. Only draw back is you need a small phone or one with a side mounted USB point. Although a 5 inch screen phone will fit in the holder you then cannot get the charging USB into the bottom phone as there's no room. I use an old HTC, download the maps off line and navigate via visual glances at the screen and Bluetooth instructions to my helmet. Dont get live updates but the HTC has not got a sim card in so I'm not using data. Keep my personal mobile phone in my pocket again connected via Bluetooth to my helmet.

Don't forget that if its in the Yamaha category, its going to be expensive!! Don't forget to look for alternatives. To echo XmaxPaul, Tucano Muffs are good for winter (though I'd probably have heated grips as well!!)

Digressing a bit. For my 300 I bought the official Yamaha topbox mount but then sourced a cheap box from Amazon with a universal adaptor. £26 for 44 litres, I think it was.
