Hi all
Finally managed to get on here after my friend bugging me for ages... Been meaning to do it anyways...
Bit about myself... I got into the whole two wheel thing out of necessity more than anything else... Started when I couldnt take the silly train fare rises here in the UK anymore and with a season ticket costing upwards to 3k I was thinking of what I could do to save on that.... then saw an advert for someone selling a Honda PCX with the magical numbers "130mpg"... having a 250 mile commute per week, the math was a no brainer... At 33 and never ridden a bike, I was a bit hesitant... However, worked out that the running costs would be under £100 a month all in... Needless to say... in a month's time I had done a CBT and two weeks after that got myself a nice white PCX which had only done 5k miles.... The initial plan was just to keep doing a CBT every two years and crack on....
Que 2 weeks later and I am feeling the need to something bigger already... Not to mention I was wondering why on earth had I waited 33 years before getting on a bike... absolutely fell in love with riding... It would take another near 3 years (mostly cuz of finances and time) with a Honda CBF 125 and a Kymco Downtown 125 in between before I would finally get my big boy license. Am now the proud owner of a Yamaha Diversion...
Has been an excellent journey so far and have loved every bit of it... Including my one spill on the CBF... only been on the big boy license for 3 months now but absolutely loving it....
Should be working... but :)

Welcome Binje. I caught the bug early - first licence when I was 16 in 1960. Never knew whether I wanted a scooter or motorbike so I've had plenty of both. Passed my test in 1961 on a Vespa, now riding - a Vespa!
Ride safe and enjoy.

Welcome to
I was 28 before I got my full licence and only then because my hubby needed an extra courier.

I blame it on old age

Thanks RJC1944... I have to admit I have the PCX for catching the bug so bad. On days off I would always want to go on rides. Didnt have that feeling with the CBF or the Kymco... but now with the Diversion I have it bad... The PCX will always have a soft spot in my heart though. Would get one if I could justify two bikes to the other half...rjc1944 wrote:Welcome Binje. I caught the bug early - first licence when I was 16 in 1960. Been watching the motorcycle section but no sign of the Divvy yet. Photies or we won't be live you've got one.
