Hi All

My name is Jeremy - I've just bought a 2013 650 Burgman, silver grey with 15,000 on the clock. Not had much opportunity to put miles on it yet but very much looking forward to doing so. The wife is a very enthusiastic pillion - having sat on the back of a Harley Road King, Ultra (Electra Glide with all the bits) and an Indian Roadmaster (an absolute mega-tourer with superlative 1800cc motor) in the last three years (on USA road trips) she really values the extremely comfy Burgman seat! The one thing I love about maxi-scooters in general and the Burg in particular is not having to change gear and being able to operate the brakes with each hand, what a joy, particularly in heavy traffic. FYI I have also ridden a Sym 600 (very enjoyable in the twisty mountain roads of the South of France) and a Yamaha T-Max (good fun and looks the business but not nearly as practical as the Burgman).

I will be looking to add a satnav fairly soon so any recommendations as to best brands/models and mounts would be very welcome. Thanks in advance!

Welcome Jemnelson. Sounds like you have had a varied touring past. You could do search amongst our Burgman section regarding satnav.

Welcome Jeremy.

For my burgman 400 I had a custom mount (can't recall the name/make) which mounted on the headstock with a slight cut out for the cover.

However I now predominantly use ram mounts usually on the brake reservoir cap but be careful of weight as on my naked bike it caused brake fluid leakage
