Hi there - just a line to introduce myself. My name is Derek Pearce, 58years old and been riding motorcycles for over 40 years. At the risk of streams of abuse I was a Police motorcyclist for near on 30 years and to add insult to injury I also own a lovely '99 Harley Fat Boy. My Bergman is a black 2011 650 Executive - all pretty standard apart from having the wheels powder coated in black.
I look forward to joining in the forums and possibly meeting up at some point one day.

Welcome Derek - and respect where it's due. The best riders on the road wear your old uniform. It must have been hard at times being out in all weathers and you'll have seen some nasty sights. All the best for your retirement. I like your choice of bikes, although either of them would be too heavy for me these days (I've got 12 years on you in age and riding!).

You won't get any abuse for being a Police motorcyclist, we have an ex magistrate and lawyer on here to keep you company. An despite the name this forum is not just for scooterists as a lot of our members switch between bike and scooter ownership... and a couple *ahem*Johnp*ahem* only have their wives as their favorite ride.
