Hi I've got the Scala rider team set pro. Essentially this is the same as the Solo but with the facility of being of being able to be told to slow down by your pillion passenger.
For solo use the set is excellent, I get a call just say hello loudly and the quality is very good. Many times the caller doesn't know I'm on the Bike.
I would recommend it. My only gripe is not being able to get it paired with my Tom Tom Rider. It should do so and others have no problem so I think it's me not the machine.
I have one works very well with full face helmet but you do need to take the time to fit it correctly. Battery last forever and hardly ever needs charging
I've had both the Scala Rider FM and the Q1. The Rider FM was a great bit of kit and worked pretty much faultlessly with both my phone and TomTom Rider units. The only thing that put me off from having it turned on all the time was the fact if you hit one of the buttons it would call the last person you dialled in your phone - not too good when you're doing a night shift and you end up calling somebody by accident at 2 in the morning.
The Q1 is a vast improvement over the old unit. The sound has more bass and is considerably louder and clearer than the old Scala Rider FM. The Radio now has RDS so locks onto stations with ease rather than having to hold onto the unit trying to get it to tune in on the Rider. Currently keeping an eye on the battery life on my Q1. Doesn't seem to be lasting as long as I thought it might do. Although I do have mine on for probably 40 mins a day 5 days a week.
