Dragstar became the Midnight Star.
Latest Yamaha custom job is the XV950, and its a cracker.

GN2 the xv950 is a great piece of kit ,unfortunately its way overpriced .I did manage to straddle one and take for a test ride all is great and far better than an 883 which its aimed at ,but it still lacks character from the motor . I do think though it was made that way to appeal more to the younger newer rider which is spot on for that and its a bike that i think a lot of owners will grow with like hd owners do .In comparison the hyosung aquila gv650 is a cracking bike for the money and as long as you keep on top of the finish youve got a great bike .The motor is a copy of a suzuki sv650 and propels it along nicely cheap second hand .

Well, there you are - it had a great engine (designed by Porsche if I remember correctly) and great brakes, so therefore definitely is NOT a proper Harley!

One of the bikes on our recent trip was a harley sportster 1200, did the same mileage as the rest of us. On a straight and on excelleration it left the silverwing and it comfortably did over 110 mph, it didn't break down and the guy had as much fun as everyone else. Can't see what's to knock about them.

It's a long time since Harley stopped making scooters but I still like swing them around.

There is a particularly nice looking Sportser kicking around Manchester, I think it is based on a Forty-eight.

Still not my first choice but then again, its non of my business what somebody else rides.
