Possible new big kymco spyshots!

Just spotted this on a taiwanese custom scooter page, they think it could be a new big engine kymco, possibly a 500!

Doesn't look like a new big capacity machine judging by the single brake disc.
I reckon it could be a mark 2 Downtown.

The footboard cut-out and the silver feature running from the footwell to above the pillion peg suggests to me that this may be the J300's bigger brother. Kawasaki said that the J300 was just the start.

I would be interested in something 500cc... its unlikely to be lower isn't it, they just brought out the xciting 400 recently...

Its very likely to be a 300 imo, the Downtown is quite long in the tooth and probably overdue for a makeover.

I'm confused now - its supposed to be a spy shot, maybe of a Kymco 500cc scoot, but according to that link Kymco already have a 500cc scoot, though with only 38bhp, it doesn't sound that Xciting.... And the shot looks more or less exactly like the existing 400 or 500cc scoots.

Can't see Kawasaki adopting the Xciting 500 as their next scooter somehow. Hopefully it is the next generation Kymco, with some more exciting engineering underneath.

The Downtown 300i can't be that long in the tooth as it's only been out since 2010 and Kymco have just fitted ABS to the 2014 models.

Downtown 300i with ABS was in Germany 2011 and perhaps Taiwan had them already 2009/10.
Imho it is and was always equipped with Bosch ABS 9 (means it's Bosch 9th ABS generation) base and that serial production started 2009 (nothing to do with the generation number).
