A1 licence figures.

Post by roygib »

Been looking at the new dvsa data figures:A1 16/17 age 2012/13 taken test 3294 and 2013/14 only 353 taken test, that's a drop 90%.The 17/18 age group:2012/13 taken test 2787 and 1203/14 taken test 151,drop of 95%.Figures don't look good for the motorcycle trade.

Why would you sit a test on a 125 when you have to sit another test for the A2 licence later on?
Especially as you can ride a 125 on a CBT anyway.
I reckon most young people will just wait till they can get an A2 licence at 19.
What are the figures for CBTs....?

Very astute of you gn2 :)

That makes sense that the nippers would hang on until 19.

How can the A2 test figures be down when the A2 test only came into existence this year?

Lies, damn lies and statistics
