Lead Times

Post by coldo121 »

Hi,

Does anyone here know roughly how long it takes for a new Scooter/Bike to be delivered to the dealer and prepared for the customer from the point of ordering it?

Thanks!

It depends if the dealer has to get one in from abroad or if there is one in a warehouse in the UK.

Ordered my 600 in the January and picked it up early May. However it was a new model that had not been released when I ordered it. I think it set sail from Taiwan in March, once it arrived at Sym UK they got it out to the dealer within 24 hours and dealer had it ready for me withing 24 hours.

As others have said it varies, I was told a week by one Honda dealer and two days by another.
As they say is Star Wars.....May the Forza be with you

Haven't ordered a scoot yet unfortunately, still need to do the CBT! The last two scoots I had about 3 years ago were both bought second hand, this time I'm aiming to get a new one, preferably a maxi as the underseat space will be needed!

Thanks for all the help! :)
