I tried putting my top box on for the first time since I bought the bike. Have never had a givi box before.
Whatever I do it doesn't seem to lock. I turn the key and can still lift it open. Any ideas?

To unlock...Turn the key fully a handle may lift, under the handle is a button press this and the lid will unlock to lock move the large handle machanism over the lid and pull it down, push the handle down and turn the key, thats the MONOLOCK top box ?

Re: Locking a givi top box.
I had a V46 like it shows in the video and sometimes it was a right bastard to open - when you pressed the red button to open it, the 'claw' didn't spring open cleanly and I had to fuck about jiggling it about for a few minutes to get it to open. A bit of WD40 when it started sticking worked wonders.
Paddle harder. I can hear banjo music!

Thanks everybody!
I'm struck down with a virus at the moment. As soon as I'm back on my feet I'll give it a whirl.

Re: Locking a givi top box.
Some of them have a sort of flap thing under the lip of the lid you have to press in if I remember correctly. I can never remember which is a Monolock case and which is a Monokey case. My current Tmax has the posher 'bike' case, whilst previous Tmaxs have had the cheaper 'scooter' cases - on the previous Tmaxs I recall that you opened it with the key and pressed the button, but to close it you pressed some sort of flap in, then turned the key back.
