In late 2012 Suzy GB told me it would be late this year when it unveiled the new 400 bike. I've heard nothing to contradict that. It's also been mentioned in the French bike press and some other mags. Got to wait and see.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Any rumours suggesting what Suzuki are going to do on this update? Will it be significant like the Tmax Update? Or will they just facelift it to look like the new 650 Burger? What would 400 Burgman riders like to see? More power? Updated Clutch/Variator maybe? Better handling? How can such a fine machine be improved? Mix More Colours? 8-)
If you want to be incrementally better: Be competitive. If you want to be exponentially better: Be cooperative.

Tricky

The styling is a little dated. I think it is very good, just a bit familiar after all this time so I'm interested to see what they do with that.

What I do not want is a slimmed down "sports" version with less storage and protection and a pointy tale.
In fact I'd like a big hinged boot like the Honda Pacific Coast. Leave it as a fat arsed tourer please (fat arsed supermarket shopper or whatever)

Some people had trouble with the clutch not clearing dust so a different clutch bell without a lip.
(Mine is fine as long as it gets a sprites start now and again)

The 12v power outlet could be placed better and have easy wire routing to the bars/dash

Any efficiency gains to the engine are always welcome but I wouldn't want the power/torque relationship changed with the transmission changed. It suits me perfectly.

The Bandit mirrors look like they came out of the parts bin as an afterthought. Probably the only part I'd want off the 650.
Preferably - give its own mirrors that suit its styling.
WE ARE THE BURG resistance is futile

Thats the interesting question. SInce its creation in 1999 or wherever, it has only slowly (but steadily) evolved, with a series of steady steps. Whilst the 2013 bike is (AFAIK) significantly better than early ones, there was no revolution. So I'd suspect that the next Burger will be another evolution - unless Suzuki feel that the competition (eg recent good new models from Kymco, Sym) is getting too close and they feel that something extra to differentiate it is needed.

The handling could be better, but that would mean a total redesign to move the transmission off of the rear wheel. :(
Dont think they will get much more power out of the single without changing the engine configuration.
Make the screen adjustable like the Givi Aeroflow and do some proper tests in a Wind Tunnel to make sure that it works!
