How much experience is there of this actual machine. I've got an 07 125 that I keep for fun. I was out on it today in really blustery wet conditions and it performed excellently. Up to an indicated 70mph at times - where I wouldn't be caught. The fuel gauge barely moved all morning. At 50mph it was so smooth I couldn't believe it. It just sings along, and for cutting through traffic its amazing.

I've got no idea what competitors to this bike are like or what they cost, but for me it is excellent and if the new one is an improvement, then it will be a fabulous little bike. I have no idea where its actually made but it has a Suzuki badge on it and you generally do tend to pay a bit more for a recognised brand.

Great dealer network in place and loads of support.

Buying a lesser known brand can save money but not if you can't find spares or someone to service it correctly.

As always its always a personal balance in cost to value in any purchase, but I would buy another one and would recommend it for what it is which is a traffic beating commuter with potential for fun.

I looked at one of these around 6 years ago when replacing my Skipper. Build quality and storage looked top notch, price was very competitive as well, but unfortunately it was just too low slung for my liking. although I'm not the tallest (around 5' 11"), this is a machine clearly designed for someone who's a little on the vertically challenged side. As for current pricing , its about middle of the range for 125 cc full size maxis. On one hand you have the Daelim S3 which comes in at around £2900 right up to the Yamaha Xmax at around £4100. Even my old machine the XEvo pricing has shot up to around the £3800 mark, which I would say now is a little on the steep side.

Most 125,s you can pick up good second hand for £1500 to £2000 so just not worth buying new one IMHO

I did notice that it wasn't mentioned - though must have sold a few of the old model as you do see quite a few secondhand,
