Lots of traffic free roads for exploring East Devon coastline as well.
Haldon Grill at the top of Telegraph Hill on the A380 (EX6 7XW) is definitely worth a visit, and because of it's location is within easy riding distance for the guy's in Cornwall as well
I've used the Haldon Grill before as I am originally a Plymuff boy and have explored most of God's 3rd greatest creation, 1st being me, 2nd Plymuff Argyle and 3rd Devon.

I would combine a meet with a trip home to see the family and thought the 303 would be an easy location to get to for most. I used to travel from Plymouth to Crewkerne when dating a girl from the Zet, stopped at the Chef a couple of times.

As you mention Phil the service is hit and miss depending on season just like the sister branch in Cornwall on the A38.

I had a feeling you had some connection with proper Devon :D I travel on the 303 a lot to visit my daughter in London, so have been a regular visitor to the diner over the years. I only mentioned Haldon as I thought it might be easier for the Cornwall based guys

Nice to hear your on the mend icon_wink-.gif not sure what date lonepilgrim has in mind for this one, but the LE Jog run starts Saturday 12th July. There's a post on the main meets and rideouts page with details of the event. I'm looking at posting something after easter inviting anyone who wants to join along the way :D

Will post up details of our breakfast meet at route 38 cafe at Wrangaton on the Saturday with a ride down to Lands End, anyone who fancies joining on route more than welcome. Hopefully some of the Cornish guys will tag on and maybe use their local knowledge for a bit of a ride around/distraction once we've done LE, then it's a steady ride up to Saltash Saturday evening.

I would tag along Muppets, from Plymuff. Trouble is, I'd have to wave at you all from the roadside as you go by, icon_hello_wave.gif icon_maxi_scoot.gif icon_maxi_scoot.gif icon_maxi_scoot.gif icon_maxi_scoot.gif icon_moped.gif as my current ride is a Honda Vision 110!!
