Does anyone here really want to be in MCN?
Surely the purpose of maxi-dom is to prove to MosickleCentricNerds that we have outgrown their puny categories, we spit on their phallusmongering whoredom and we contemplate a higher level of existence where we actually ride in the rain...

No door is closed to an open mind.
Except a closed door, which a mind can't open, but even a stupid hand can.

Completely agree Irev ,so i have sent my details in to mcn ,i know they wont pick me as they did not like my review of there review of the srv last time around . MCN quoted the srv as not even capable to be used as a suitable form of transport if i remember correctly .I think they have got to the stage that if a bike cant ride its self then it must be pants ,sorry thats not why i ride, i like to be involved even if that requires a little bit of rider effort . We will see what happens .

Seize the opportunity I say to have your say. I'd apply if I still had my Burgman 650.

Now that interesting irev.....on the comments section of MCN about the new Honda, someone made a comment who used the exact same picture icon as you do! I thought is that irev making comments in MCN under an assumed name, or is it identity theft?

It will be interesting to see what they come up with, Motorcycle Sport and Leisure have had a couple of very positive features, this months Ride long term review was glowing but Bike did a review a couple of months ago where the journalist involved appeared to have a negative agender from the start. I have sent MCN this,
Why I bought it:  Following over 45 years of riding all types of bike both professionally and for pleasure (53 twowheelers at last count) I have found that over the years my needs, priorities etc.have changed as indeed they do for all of us. The type of riding that I indulge in for pleasure is day long 2 to 300 mile ambles one up and not in a group. I have done fairly long distance stuff over the years such as around the coast, 3,600 miles in 6 days, Lands End to John O Groats,  South of France you get the idea. Now not only have my personal circumstances changed but so has the the country that we live in. A good high speed cruise will not only get you nicked but if you are really trying you could well end up as "Big Billys bitch on B wing". The standard of driving is now very poor and getting worse with some very aggressive drivers who are quite prepared to do outrageous things to prove their superiority in the "willy waveing" contest that they view their car to be. So where does this take me. I need reasonable performance, comfort, practicality and road presence,  sounds like the Burgman 650 to me. I had done many miles on Burgman 400's and found them to be brilliant all rouders and if I were commuting the choice would have been close but for a leisure indulgence it had to be the 650.The good:  it's o so comfortable and relaxing but can cover ground a a good old rate should the mood take.
Geoff.
