ACF 50 - free to good home

Post by Bluebottle »

Free if you are seriously short of dosh, if you aren't penniless make a donation to the Trauts memorial collection for the Air Ambulance.

A full untouched 32 fl/oz bottle of acf50 that is at the end of its shelf life. RRP £30 enough to do several bikes. Big bottle, not the spray can.

You need to be near north manchester/ lancs or going to an ugly bunch ride because I'm not going to post it, the seal is broken.
Don't mind dropping it off somewhere while I'm on a pootle.

It is probably absolutely fine but the manufacturers shelf life is 18 months once opened, should still last 2 yrs on the bike. It is a bit over 2 yrs old and it hasn't started to thicken up or noticeably change.

I'm buying some fresh but not everybody is as picky as me

THAT in the bottle will not spray, it comes with a empty spray bottle but it only comes out in a stream
i did try warming it in a dish of hot water,, ive even tried in another spray bottle but no joy
a spray would covered a lot more,

I've sprayed it ok as long as the pump bottle was pressurised enough. icon_dunno.gif
Not sure if I'm using the official pump bottle or not

Them spray cans of acf50 come in handy, I left mine under the seat & the stem/seal fecked up on it, spilling boatloads of it in the storage tub  , had to take it to the jetwash to clean it up

the spray bottle that comes with the bottle ,is just a household spray you cant pressurise it

Don't know if you were swizzed or I got lucky but that accounts for us having different results.
The bottom of mine is a pump handle so you can pressurise it.

I think Horobags just drinks it straight from the bottle :P
