I did like mine, though in a perverse kind of way. It was reliable and practical, though rather agricultural. I found the suspension, especially the rear, very crude. Not sure I'd want to tour on it, though maybe I'm too pampered. It did have some handling issues - it did try to kill me, twice - though in my case, it may have been hampered by the humungous Givi topbox it had on, which I think unbalanced the handling, and it developed a real hinge in the middle soggy feeling.
Overall, I'd say it was great in its day, but things have moved on...a lot.

Maybe? when new 250 scoots are the best part of 10,000 bucks in this country and you can pick up a good s/h majesty for 1500 dollars in my opinion they are good value

They are certainly cheap enough, and a surprising number of the early ones still exist, given that some are over 15 years old! They are rugged old beasts - they do have that Tractor feeling!
