i am in a quandary at the moment

Post by michaelphillips »

i am in a quandary at the moment as one of my lump sum retirement is about to pay out and getting a lot more than i thought... my missus will allow me    £5000 for a newer scoot... so what do i do :?:

if i had the choice of my next ride would i best go for the new j300 as i would have change, sorry dont want the forza as a rew ride ( i know its good but not for me) or i have also seen a 2010 tmax white max special anniversary edition £5495.. i love my Nexus and worked hard on sorting it out and it wont need anything (except rear tyre in 8 months) but just need better weather to wire in some new led indicator relays i have got .. and put new pads in rear (10 min job) but i know i wont get a lot if i chopped it in, so might have to sell private, anyways your thoughts would be appreciated, i love the x10 ...but i love the nose sports shape of the nexus.. and the j300 and tmax i love the shape. i know its personal choice ,,, but what do i do

i dont want to go heavier on scoot as my back nerve injury i have had for 14 years wont allow
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

well two weeks ago, i never thought i would be able to get another scoot, till letter came, so i am thinking about it as my nexus done 44,000 miles now and although i have changed everything, and she purrs like a kitten and the motor is strong, if that ever goes i will loose out completely on sale value.
has anyone dealt with metropolis at vauxhall as cant seem to find a kawa dealer nearer to me, and not sure if there in greenwich which would be closer,
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

It's a good quandary to be in!!

I chose to order a new Midnight Blue Piaggio X10 !!

The features that sold me included:

Comfort
Space
Instrumentation
Huge range (250 miles)
15" front wheel
ABS/ASR etc
Super wet clutch
Proper oil filter
Top reviews for both the X10 and that engine - same as in the popular Beverly.
Long service intervals
Big dealer network

Apparently you do need to finish building it though by covering the bottom of the fusebox up from the spray, but that's pretty much it!

Mind you on my SYM GTS300 I had to change the rollers, seat back (to a much thinner one I made), change the ridiculous mirrors for decent bar mounted £20 eBay ones (and vinyl wrap the old holes), trim plastic away from the seat base so I could fit a lid in, put a decent screen on and fit a rack and box... so getting the X10 right should be less work!

If you buy a new bike BTW make sure you run it in properly - Google for "Motoman break in secrets"!
