It'll offer a quite different experience to the Runner, not necessarily better as it depends what your use and expectations are. The NC would open up longer trips (abroad), but won't feel so light and effortless (compared to the Runner specifically).

What is it that makes you want to change the Runner, as you've not had it that long?
Not a lot really

I've had it long enough to realise it's fun being on two wheels again

Having passed my test on a Honda C90, I'd probably kill myself on a bike with a clutch lever, hence going down the scooter/DCT route (I don't at the moment have any disability)

Haven't been out on the Runner for a few months now, so will pop out later just to reacquaint myself with it........then I'll probably decide to keep it

It 's very interesting hearing different people's views, even though ultimately I know it's up to me to make my mind up

The Forza is a good scooter, but why shell out another three grand when you've already got a good scooter.
Three grand is a lot to pay for a littlle bit more speed, ABS and bigger under-seat stoage.
If the Runner does what you need, you would have to be mad to trade it.
The best scooter Honda don't make is a PCX 200.
Whch would be a lot like your Runner.....

Had a ride out to Grantham Honda today and saw a white Forza in the showroom.....

......and it looked absolutely gorgeous :-)

Benefits over the Gilera.........top speed, size, comfort, storage, much better clocks, 12v power socket, easy mount for sat nav

Negatives........none really

Now I just need to sort some figures

But does it really give you that much more? Is it worth paying £x000 for?
However, you've clearly fallen in love, so I'll save my breath!!!!

The Forza 12v socket is only two amps.
Top speed is around 85 and it takes a while to get there.
Peak power is only 4hp more than your Gilera.
Get a good long test ride, pay attention to the clearance from your knees to the bodywork.
Not everyone fits, seat mods may be required.
Is it worth the extra cash to trade from your delightful little Runner?
I would say no.

I note what you say, and it's very sensible advice

The main reason I got the Gilera was to see if I would enjoy getting out on two wheels again, so I wanted something relatively cheap, but with a bit of go in case I liked it

It is an absolute blast to ride, but now I've got into it, I want to have the option of going a little further, carrying a little more, and with an option of using navigation hardware in an easily fittable (if that's a word) place - the bigger tank would also have its benefits

The Forza looks like it was built for comfort, albeit pretty rapid comfort, whereas the Gilera is more the 'boy racer' of scooters

The way I see it is that I'll be getting a brand new machine, as opposed to one which will be due an MoT in six months, for a very reasonable £84 per month

I'll keep churning it over and make a decision shortly

Realistically the Forza is a single seat commuter.
If you want something for regular long trips and two-up use, you might be better with something bigger?

I doubt I'll be carrying anyone
