If this is like the old bikesafe days where you get a free observed rospa ride, ill try to make this meeting, just make sure the following rider is a copper who can asses your ride, as its always good to know you are riding at a good standard and not picking up any bad habbits. instead of a spotty faced iam rider who will fumble through your report and teach you jack shit.
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

Bit harsh on the IAM there I thought. My experience was completely different. When I came back onto two wheels, after a couple of rides out with Clive and Dave, I realised I was certainly not up to a good standard so I did the IAM advanced course. It has without doubt kept me alive. Simple as that. But, and I think this is important, for accuracy the group I rode with had a very good attitude to cracking on. Anticipation and being smooth kept your speed up. Changed my riding style for the much, much better. I suppose it depends on the observer you get, and if you can take advice.

Any riding knoledge is valuable Gerard, and you will definatly learn from the IAM, but Rospa is a far more involved course, for example your not advised to put in for your test until the observer thinks your good and ready how ever long it takes, the test isnt a simple pass/fail, its graded. The Rospa diploma is the highest civillian advanced motorcycle award you cam get.Gerard C wrote:Bit harsh on the IAM there I thought. My experience was completely different. A police observed ride will teach you so much , they really are the ambassadors of the road,(imo).
