Some variances in ABS/No ABS may stem from some countries classifying ANY brake part as safety-related, and as such, ABS is NOT an option there, but required to sell in that country. Some models of European cars that I've seen here in the US with rear DRUM brakes aren't sold ANYWHERE else on the Planet without rear discs. But, they can unload/dump old, obsolete high profit margin parts here. We still build crap with drum brakes. Welcome to the 1920's...
