An odd thing happened on the way to work this morning. I was sat at a red light and a bloke in a VW at the side of me was looking at the Majesty, suddenly he wound his window down and gave me the thumbs up! Said it was a great looking machine and heaped praise upon it! Gave me a nice rosy glow, could be Gods way of stopping me being a pillock as just a mile earlier a VW driver pulled out on me, nothing dangerous but he could have waited whilst I'd got past the junction. I thought to myself why does everyone who drives a German car have to be a twat, then along comes Mr Nice Bloke driving a German car!
In all my years on two wheels this is the first time a car driver has commented, oddly enough a few months ago I was parked up in Scarborough having a nice bacon sarni and a coffee and a bloke there did the same, much to my amusement a BMW GS parked next to mine was ignored!

Re: Car driver compliment
Yes thats a very nice when it happens, used to happen a lot when I had the kawasaki Vulcan, but then it was a very handsome bike in its petrol blue colour scheme. I think MCN did a survey some years ago saying bikers had more trouble with BMW drivers than any other car makes. In closing I drive an Audi A4 2.5 and to the best of my knowledge I am no Twat.

The German car driver comment was really made tongue in cheek, no offense meant.

Yes, but their successors are almost as lethal!Hexatony 2 wrote:Does this mean that the "trilby hatted Volvo driver" has been consigned to history then?
