Numpty questions

Post by NorfolkChris »

Hi I'm comfortable doing my own bike maintenance but been a bit busy since I bought my Burgman during the week. The jobs a woman can find for you just because you want to bring a fith bike home is criminal. (Fith bike being the Burgman). There should be a law against what I have had to put with these last few days.

So where is everything. I have found the water/coolant cubby hole. But where is the plug, air filter I found a filler plug which I assume is the oil level.

Also there's an air vent on the front right leg shield if you sit on the bike. Whats that for?

That'll do for now, I'm sure there will be more

Cheers

Chris

put the marigolds away, and get the tools out matey. the only really dissadvantage of a maxi for me is that a service usually means stripping the tuppaware off. You need to get a manual, it'll save you lots of time, or check the burgman owners site, I think its 'burgman USA' .
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

What year is it Chris, what model? There isn't much to do on them and it's easy to get to everything if it's a 2007 onwards model. Oh...congrats on getting one. You won't be sorry.

So assuming it's a 2007+ model. The air vent on the front leg shield does.....##**#. Once you worked that out please tell us. The air filter is under the seat at the front. A panel to remove there and it's exposed. You cannot miss it. The spark plug is easily accessed by removing the panel directly in front of the seat with the air vents on it. See your handbook for details on how to remove.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...
