Post by michaelphillips »

Hi all, the 2013 new Yamaha X-Max 400 £5300 arrives next month, eagerly await some feedback, just a thought, i know you cant compare yet the tmax 530 at £3000 more, do you think its worth it? or would you opt for the 400

Actually £5399 http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/products/ ... ax400.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thread stated here http://www.maxi-muppets.co.uk/forum/vie ... =5&t=13238" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It will be all down to what money the individual has and prepared to pay, but I would probably go for the new 400.

was a muppet getting the 500cc version from france, thought i saw a post????? wonder what happened???
The x10 is nice, all scoots now seem to have the flowing lines ( bodywork plastic) all the way to the rear, i know my nexus is old, but still has the naked bike rear, but does get filthy if it rains, with the tyre flicking up the road residue, i notice the Nexus 500 is still available new, Italy, France, is that a true statement? I was thinking did aprillia take over the 300cc nexus? and if so a revamp of the nexus 500 with the new 490cc engine and new plastic might be a great seller, if only in europe, but i would like to see it :D

An odd topic for the Motorbikes thread???

Anyway...by Yamaha standards the XMax 400 is reasonably good value. Compared to the 25bhp Honda Forza at a likely £5k especially. The Burger 400 (same power output) is over £6K now I think, but it is a bigger beast. There again, a bit more pricey than the X10 350 (£5k), but the Bev 350 Touring is even better value at £4k, though a smaller scoot.

Michael
It was me that was bringing the X10 500 into the UK. I got an email today from my dealer in Calais to tell me they had just taken delivery of the scoot. Soon as I get the certificate of conformity will get it registered and plan to pick it up first week of June. Will spend a couple of days in France to make sure everything's ok.

Seriously considering PXing the XMax250 for the 400...
Dealer recons they should be available about the end of the month...
Depends on what I can get for my '09 XMax with 26k miles... hopefully around the £4k to change... fingers crossed... 0% would be a bonus...
