Eh? I misread something somewhere!yellowMax wrote:So the first one is in Dorset on a 59 plate at £4700 and mine is here at £4900 on an 11 plate? Barely a difference in price

If he's elderly, let him have a bit of fun!Taipan wrote: I'm going to see him this weekend and see where his thinking is at. I've told him its madness to put that much coin into something he does 800 miles a year on but he thinks different. If after a bit of time he still thinks he wants to ignore my advice and go for one (which I secretly hope he does, cos I want a go one one!)then I think we'll put his MK1 up for sale and see if he gets his money on that and then go MK3 shopping!

And I'm afraid it's now sold. It's in the back of a van to Portsmouth bound for Le Havre and ultimately Montpelier....

Here is one that you may be interested in - they have both a black Max Mk2 and a grey Mk3
They are a Vespa dealer (in fact one of the best in London, where all of us go for service). I'm sure there is plenty of discount wiggle room...

Re: Tmax prices?
Hang on...there's something odd there. The mk3 has the silly angled exhaust that it should, but the mk2's exhaust is also at a funny angle - but not as much as the mk3. I seem to remember my mk2's exhaust being (sensibly) horizontal. Is my memory failing, or did later versions have a different exhaust, or what's happened??yellowMax wrote:Here is one that you may be interested in - they have both a black Max Mk2 and a grey Mk3

The photo has just reminded me that the mk2 had very nice wheels with curvy spokes!
