I would go further than that and say that all scooters are motorcycles.
But it's not a popular view among the terminally brainwashed who have to fit things into fixed categories according to which image they wish to project or tribe they profess to belong to.

But we ourselves talk about mini-muppets, and were talking about Midi-muppets the other day, and most of us aren't that interested in Trad scooters, and some of us - well, me especially - are always slagging off power-rangers, and Harley riders! I guess there is a greater truth that we all share something as PTWers....even if some of our brethren have depressingly bad taste!

I said most harleys.
Most I've seen have been big wide things that like I say, corner like shit!
I was overtaken by a couple of them on the A610 coming home from Nottingham last summer. They got in front just before the lights at Codnor.
I followed them all the way to Riddings, with them grounding out on about 3 of the corners trying, (but failing) to leave me behind.

Guy on a CBF1000 looked my scoot over yesterday morning and actually said morning to me. It was amusing to note that when I was riding my R850R motorcycle not so long ago I always got a nod and now I am generally blanked.
