Re: SH300 Xmax 250 comparison
I saw the Xmax below on ebay and noted in his description it says "Good-looking commuter scooter that provides comfort and economy (100mpg easily)" Does the 250 Xmax really return 100mpg?
Anyone know off hand what the xmax and SH weigh?

Re: SH300 Xmax 250 comparison
Had my '09 XMax250 since new, (30 months) and get mid 80's mpg for a 36 mile stop start round trip, Bromley / Catford / Lewisham / New Cross / OKR / Hefalump / Westminster Br...
Yamaha list the XMax250 as 176 Kg Wet (inc full Oil and Fuel) 15.6 Kw @ 7500 rpm (21 Hp) quite where measured, Crank probably, Aint gonna be rear wheel, Torque 21.3 Nm @ 6500 - but thats all brochure blah blah...
Honda quoting 161Kg (Dry) [+3Kg for ABS] / 19.6 Kw @ 8250(!) rpm (26.8 Hp ) / 26 Nm @ 6000 rpm (which is gonna be the more comparable figure for real world riding)
...but - you gotta park it nose first and walk away, you wouldn't want to see its face first thing in the morning... - it is Fugly...
I likes my XMax, had a Gilly VXR200 before... but i never checked out teh Honda, the XMax was advertised at a great price, £700 of list with 3 yrs @ 0% - and i still got a reasanable PX on the Gilly... Sometimes its the 'Deal' and not the 'Scoot'

Re: SH300 Xmax 250 comparison
Cool. ta. Thats pretty good. I followed one out of town last night and it didn't appear to be that sluggish away from the lights. I like the look of them too but think the Sh300 would be more suitable for me as its a bit lighter to hang on the back of my camper. I guess I'll wait and see what comes up at what price and if I can persuade myself to sell the Tmax!poldark wrote:This says 80-95 mpg for XMax 250, real-world users data - http://www.spritmonitor.de/en/overview/ ... owerunit=2Taipan wrote:I saw the Xmax below on ebay and noted in his description it says "Good-looking commuter scooter that provides comfort and economy (100mpg easily)" Does the 250 Xmax really return 100mpg?
